The car window shattering is due to something called "thermal shock"; where one part of an object is so much hotter than another part that it causes uneven expansion (remember: hot molecules expand, cold ones contract) and the object cracks due to the stress. @Infinity Creations Yeah I do that. I usually try to use like room temperature water because I am afraid of breaking the window. But if the ice is too thick it does nothing. If I do it a couple times with that temperature water when it's really thick it comes off eventually but by that time it might be because the car is actually warmed up by then. I used to use warmer water than I do now but my fiance looks at me funny when I'm filling up the pitcher. Lol 😂 I think I'm scared he'll get to say I told you so.

You can also see this happen with ice cubes in a (comparatively) warm drink. They crack visibly and audibly.

Hi Aiden RE: the wiggle dance. Can you tell the difference between the bees wiggling to show which direction to fly to get food, and wiggling to show a good place for a new nest? I always though it was for food.

I doubt that the bee actually communicated a new place for the hive though. As far as i know, the wiggle dance is to communicate good places for getting nectar/pollen

The bees actually have a lot of fascinating ways of communication. The one shown in the video is called a waggle dance, i believe. There are a few factors determining the way the worker dances. I can't recommend any literature in english, bc from what I've seen in some ways it conflicts with what I had in college, but I can assure you that it's fascinating and definitely worth looking into ;)

My cousin has a cat that figured out how to open doors. One time he was out on his balcony and the cat wanted to be with him, so she tried to open the door. She ended up locking it and my cousin had to call maintenance to come let him back inside.
