@Hai Futter 1. there's other types of batteries that are far less likely to explode (and pacemakers already use one such other type) 2. smaller batteries tend to naturally be less susceptible to randomly exploding due to the lower currents and voltages in question

Honestly, that guy with the flashlight could actually be one of the smartest people I've seen. It's useful, practical and much better instead of having a googly eye or some replica of an eye. As a person who knows that my left eye will one day stop working and I will be blind on one eye, I would instantly try to get my hands on that.

@A Texan Kid Yes your skin is translucent but have you heard of your skull, it's made up of this material commonly known as bone, and is not translucent to visible light. Also its pretty easy to direct where the light from the LED goes as well.

Also have to wonder if they like it better a little further south despite their adaptations. It's a whole lot more liveable at temperatures above -10C. I doubt a polar bear enjoys being cast away on a small iceberg though, that has to be scary.

@NafZ no ice/snow = no food = no seals to feed on. Polar bears are not meant to live in a place where there’s no snow. They will simply die because of the heat and because they have not adapted to the environment. While it may look like that bear is having a peaceful moment, trust me that bear has had more peaceful days on the snow. But since humanity loves to destroy stuff, their home is fading away. Many will not survive.

@Justice Slim Since you don't seem to have had a satisfactory answer to your question. Polar bears just straight up have white fur, like arctic foxes and bunnies. Their fur is white because it mostly reflects white light and absorbs most other light on the visible spectrum. Same reason anything has colour to us actually, because of the 'colour' of the light reflected off of it's surfaces. For obvious reasons arctic and Antarctic wildlife adapted to blend into their snowy environments to be less visible, course they stand out like a sore bloody thumb anywhere else the poor buggers.
